To connect a Namecheap domain to OhhWells, open Advanced DNS, remove the parking records, then add an A record for @ and a CNAME for www with OhhWells’ values.

  1. Complete Step 1 of the main article so you have your OhhWells records open.
  2. Sign in at namecheap.com and open Domain List.
  3. Select Manage next to your domain.
  4. On the Domain tab, check that Nameservers is set to Namecheap BasicDNS. If it shows something else, your records are managed elsewhere, so make the changes there.
  5. Open the Advanced DNS tab.
  6. Under Host Records, delete the two default records if they are there:
    • URL Redirect Record with host @.
    • CNAME Record with host www pointing to a Namecheap parking page.
  7. Choose Add New Record, pick A Record, enter @ as the host and paste the value OhhWells shows. Select the tick to save.
  8. Choose Add New Record again, pick CNAME Record, enter www as the host and paste the value OhhWells shows. Select the tick to save.
  9. Return to OhhWells Site Editor and check the status. Namecheap changes usually show within 30 minutes.
